Jack moved to Buffalo, WY when he was 8 years old. Upon graduation, he attended UW and served with distinction in the Korean War. In 1957 his broadcasting career was launched, when he bought a small radio station in Buffalo. Later he bought and ran stations in Newcastle, Sheridan and Rawlins before branching into TV in 1964 when he moved to Casper as VP and GM of KTWO Radio and TV. He later was President of the Harriscope Broadcasting Corporation broadcast division, with responsibilities of operation in various states. When Harriscope was dissolved in 1987, he became President of Clear Channel Incorporated in Casper until 1996. In 1965 he was the recipient of The Alfred I. Dupont Foundation Award for Broadcast Journalism. He is the only Wyomingite to be so honored. He was also designed a US Postage Stamp – one of only two from Wyoming to do so. He also has dedicated himself to UW and the promotion of better education. He donated equipment to start their first radio station, KUWR. He was a former President of the WY Assn. of Broadcasters. Jack left a legacy for all future Wyoming Broadcasters. He was a mentor and inspiration to many. Jack passed away in 2010 at the age of 80.
